Imperial Probedroid Theme v1.0a 5/4/97
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
by: Michael J. van Zwieten -- Please read my personal info on bottom of this
mikevz@bellsouth.net Text file! A VERY Important StarWars related
		 	      question is addressed to you!

Short Overview of this theme:
-----------------------------
Probedroids are robots controlled by the Empire in the StarWars saga, namely,
'The Empire Strikes Back', where Probedroids got sent out to find the secret
location of the Rebel base. One lucky probe droid landed on an icy, cold
planet named Hoth, which then captured and sent back images and information
leading into an Imperial ground assault on the Rebel's secret base. This
theme depicts a Probedroid hovering over the Hoth landscape, accompanied by
sounds mainly taken from 'The Empire Strikes Back' to give it it's personality.
Enjoy!

System Requirements:
--------------------
* Microsoft Windows'95
* Microsoft Plus!
* 16bit color (for animated cursors/background)
* 16bit soundcard or higher

Imperial Probedroid Theme Installation:
---------------------------------------
This ZIPfile has been zipped with recursive directories. What that means is
that when you unZIP this file, it should automatically uncompress itself into
a subdirectory called \probedroid under the c:\program files\plus!\themes
directory. If you're having problems getting this theme to work, try copying
the contents of this ZIP into a c:\program files\plus!\themes\probedroid
directory, leaving the probedroid.theme file in the
c:\program files\plus!\themes directory. Once the theme is installed in it's
directory, open up the 'Desktop Themes' icon in the control panel, and select
the 'Imperial Probedroid (high color)' theme. Select 'OK' to use this theme!
If you are still having problems installing this theme, see if you can get a
hold of WinZip v6.x (www.winzip.com) which can handle the long filenames that
Windows'95 uses, and is friendlier when it comes to file recursion.

Custom Startup/Shutdown Screens installation:
---------------------------------------------
I have included some custom Startup/Shutdown screens that Windows displays
when starting up, or shutting down. These files will be located in your
\probedroid directory. Simply copy the LOGO.SYS to your root directory (ie.
C:\), and overwrite the one that currently resides there. Next, copy the
LOGOS.SYS and LOGOW.SYS to your C:\WINDOWS directory, and overwrite the
existing ones. NOTE! If you want to keep the original Startup/Shutdown
screens that were installed with Windows, you must back those up before
overwriting them with the custom-made ones included with this theme. An
easy way to do that is to just tack a ".bak" onto the end of them, so they
look something like this: LOGO.SYS.BAK This way, you can still revert
to the old ones if need be.

* The background picture is original artwork done by Jim Varner (Cap'n Jim).
Sincere thanks for letting me use it to distribute this theme! Most of
the animated cursors and icons that you see were also done by Jim. There
are no better StarWars cursors/icons out there, so they were also promptly
included with this theme! :) You may reach Cap'n Jim via email at:
jvarner@netmcr.com, or view some more of his beautiful artwork at his
  great site: http://ns.netmcr.com/~jvarner/
Among his numerous pictures, Jim also has 2 great themes available for
  download! Check them out!

* Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, concept designs, sounds, and pretty
much anything closely associated with StarWars is Copyright LucasFilm Ltd.

* Other sounds, icons and startup/shutdown screens were obtained from many
other sites and themes, and manipulated by me, so I'd like to thank those
people who may (or may not) recognize one of their sounds or pics! ;)

Revision History
----------------
1.0a	- 05/08/97 - Has a bug in the theme file, ie. Norton Antivirus
decided to rename my trashcan icons to some weird name
that it stuck under the \windows directory. Fixed.
1.0	- 05/05/97 - First official release onto the 'net!

Personal Information
--------------------
As of today (5/5/97) I'm still 26... and still heavily into StarWars (as you

iemand me in Nederlands wil schrijven, dann knnen Sie da tun, bitte! If
you don't speak Dutch or German, please ignore the above sentence! :) Some

*VERY IMPORTANT STARWARS RELATED QUESTION I NEED TO ASK YOU!*
-------------------------------------------------------------
I'm looking to find/buy myself an AUTHENTIC Full-Size (6 foot) Storm Trooper
Uniform (like the ones used in the movies) that you can actually wear! If you
know of ANY place, or ANYONE that makes these outfits (usually formed from
molds using white 1/4" plastic)... PLEASE send me an email to
mikevz@bellsouth.net! I have been searching for YEARS trying to find a REAL
Uniform, but have come up with nothing sofar... I'm willing to dish out some
serious $cash$...

Thanks very much!
Mike
